In an interview with his fellow American Idol judges, Simon Cowell said of the voting for finalists, “It’s all gone a bit mad as far as I’m concerned, and I’ve got a return flight booked, ready to leave if the wrong thing happens.” He and Paula Abdul also told Entertainment Weekly that “there are one or two dark horses,” so Justin Guarini doesn’t necessarily have the contest locked up yet.
