FOX cancels American High.
Variety reports that American High has been canceled even before it’s fifth and sixth episodes had a chance to air. Yesterday, Inside.com speculated that the show might be history if Wednesday’s eps didn’t do well in the ratings. But the geniuses at FOX who put the show up against CBS’ Big Brother and the WB’s Young Americans didn’t even give the show that final chance. Creator R.J. Cutler blames the bad time slot for the show’s dismal ratings. There may be hope, however: Variety says the show could end up on another net, possibly even the Fox Family Channel.
