American Gladiators

American Gladiators for kids, Gladiators 2000, will be syndicated this fall

Gladiators 2000, a version of American Gladiators that features kids, will return this fall, apparently airing in syndication its original form.

The spin-off “is a half-hour series, which was shot in the 90’s as a companion to the original ‘American Gladiators.’ In the series, teens compete in games that challenge their physical abilities as well as their knowledge of nutrition, fitness and the human body,” according to a press release. A total of 39 episodes will be offered for “off-network syndication.”

The best part about this news can be illustrated by the photograph that accompanies The Hollywood Reporter’s story. It’s of Ryan Seacrest with awesome ’90s hair, because he hosted the series starting when he was 19. (He’s 34 now.) The press release emphasizes this point, saying that it’s a “series starring a young Ryan Seacrest.”
