The as-yet-unannounced 12 finalists will tape the first episode of American Candidate in Keene, NH, June 10 to 15. The finalists will spend five days there, trying to convince viewers to keep them around. The show’s structure, according to The AP, involves “10 hour-long episodes—each filmed in a different location—[during which] contestants will be eliminated through audience participation and polling.” Producers chose a city in New Hampshire because it has the first primary; they selected Keene because they “liked its downtown,” the AP says.
