American Candidate

American Candidate profiles posted.

American Candidate profiles posted.
After the application deadline passed for American Candidate, Showtime began posting candidate profiles and information on the show’s web site, adding more every day this month. The 12 finalists will be announced in June, but in the meantime, you can search for candidates based upon criteria such as age, region, religion, ethnicity, and occupation. Their profile pages include campaign diary blogs, biographical information, and video. You can also choose to “support” a candidate by clicking the “support me” icon on pages of people you like. (The most supported candidate is currently a white guy in a suit named Joe Caulfield, who says “I have immense compassion for humanity! As President I would feed our hungry, house our homeless, heal our sick, and educate our illiterate!” He has more than a quarter of a million “supporters” who apparently have an affinity for exclamation points.) The show is also coordinating Meetups for those interested in the show, and candidates and their supporters.
