Candidate 2012 will follow a single person’s 10-year quest for the presidency.
The search is on for an 24- to 29-year-old who will be followed for the next 10 years as he or she seeks the presidency of the United States. Candidate 2012, from American High’s producer RJ Cutler, Jay Roach (who directed and produced the Austin Powers movies), and Tom Lassally, will start filming July 4 and debut Nov. 5, Election Day, on HBO. Cutler says the show “will be done as a very raw documentary. We’ll poke in here and there, but our whole idea is to not get involved.”
