A&E denies Michael Jackson’s kids will be three of the 23 Jacksons on its reality series

A&E has denied a report that its series about Michael Jackson’s brothers will now include the pop star’s three kids: Prince, who’s 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7.

An A&E rep told the New York Daily News “To our knowledge it isn’t true,” while a network spokesperson told CNN more definitively, “They are not part of the series.”

Earlier today, Us Weekly reported that the kids would be on the show, and that “not everyone’s happy about it,” claiming through a second-hand source that “[e]ldest sister Rebbie, 59, who has refused to be in the series and ‘feels Michael would spin in his grave if he knew his kids would be on this show’” while “mom Katherine ‘is just going along with things.’”

Executive producer Jodi Gomes told the magazine that the series “[has] 23 cast members with the last name Jackson. They’ve done a great job opening up about losing a brother.”
