ArchivesABC Family brings family values to reality television tonight when it debuts Kicked Out, a series that finds parents kicking their slacker kids in the asses and out of their house. These are evidently people who weren’t able to find careers and lives as Real World cast members.
First, the 20-something kid’s bedroom will be secretly converted into a family room or spare bedroom. They’ll find their belongings packed and room gone, and be surprised to learn that they’re no longer welcome and have to now live on their own and find a job.
And it is a surprise: “One of the biggest elements of our show is the surprise element: These kids do not know that they are going to be kicked out of their house,” the show’s coexecutive producer, James Flint, tells TV Guide Online.
