HBO’s 24/7 Road to the NHL Winter Classic is back and exceptional as ever: watch it free

The second of four episodes of HBO’s 24/7: Road to the NHL Winter Classic airs Saturday night, a new timeslot for the series that this time is following the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs with the uncensored access and artistry that distinguishes HBO’s Hard Knocks.

The trailer for the third season–it didn’t air last year because of the lockout–sets up this season’s battle of this “historic rivalry.” But the first few minutes are enough to demonstrate that this is television for even non-sports fans, as was evident when it last aired.
