Shocking news: At least two of Emily Maynard’s Bachelorette suitors are not white!

The single men who will compete for Emily Maynard’s attention on The Bachelorette 8 have been revealed by ABC, and remarkably, they are not all white.

There’s at least one black man and one Latino man. That’s pretty much double the ethnic diversity that the show has had over an entire year (its 70 cast members all look very, very similar).

Alejandro, a 25-year-old mushroom farmer from Colombia, and Lerone, a 29-year-old real estate consultant from L.A. There’s also other international diversity, as the cast also includes Alessandro, a grain merchant from Brazil, and Arie, a race car driver originally from the Netherlands. (You may recall Emily’s fiance was a race car driver, Ricky Hendrick, who died in a plane crash.)
