Kim Kardashian plans to run for mayor in a city that doesn’t elect its mayor

Keeping Up with the Kardashians chief idiot Kim Kardashian has decided she is going to run for mayor, but Glendale, Calif., doesn’t elect its mayor.

In a deleted scene from Khloe & Lamar, Kim says, “I’ve decided I’m going to run for the mayor of Glendale,” and discusses the residency requirements, and buying a house there. “But so, for real. So Noelle’s going to head my campign. but it’s going to be in five years,” she says. Then she decides she’ll try to get around the five-year requirement: “I need a way to cut five years.”

KTLA reports that “Glendale does not elect its mayor,” and calls it a “largely ceremonial post is decided among the five City Council members on an annual basis.”

Of course, that sounds perfect for someone whose life is largely ceremonial.
