Dancing with the Stars’ 14th cast of non-stars announced

The cast of Dancing with the Stars 14 was announced this morning, and while it doesn’t even make sense to criticize the cast for not being actual, current stars any more, this cast seems especially weak.

The cast consists of singers Gladys Knight and Gavin DeGraw; actors Sherri Shepherd (who also co-hosts The View), Jack Wagner (from Melrose Place), Melissa Gilbert, and Jaleel White; athletes Martina Navratilova and Donald Driver, of the Green Bay Packers; and Maria Menounos.

In the “you’ve probably never heard of them” category are opera singer Katherine Jenkins, Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan, and actor/model William Levy.

Of those rumored to be cast members, there were only a few correctly identified by tabloids and gossip web sites, which I’m sure will now issue corrections and apologies.

Surprisingly, man not eaten alive on Eaten Alive

Eaten Alive

Discovery Channel’s happy family holiday special Eaten Alive aired Sunday, rewarding viewers for their two full hours of viewing by ensuring that they spent quality time in the company of others instead of wasting that time doing something else that might not have been as satisfying, such as buying things that have labels which accurately reflect their contents.
