Ryan Dunn tribute airs tonight on MTV

Tonight, MTV will air a tribute to Ryan Dunn, the Jackass star who died in a car crash this summer after a night of heavy drinking. Here’s how MTV describes the hour-long special, which is followed by a broadcast of the film Jackass 3.5:

“A special to celebrate and honor the life of the late Ryan. The tribute will give viewers an intimate look into Ryan’s life, from his early years in Ohio, to his antics with the Jackass crew, to his untimely death in June of 2011. The special will showcase his charm, charisma and genuine spirit that touched the lives of so many, through accounts by his family and closest friends, including Johnny Knoxville, Rob Dyrdek, Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Jeff Tremaine, Bam Margera and many more.”

The trailer, below, shows that it will include footage from both home movies and his reality TV work–like the scene where he puts lube on a toy car encased in a condom so he can insert it into his ass. Amazing how touching that kind of scene can be when viewed through the lens of his death.
