Dancing with the Stars cast: the Karate Kid, Sugar Ray, Kirstie Alley, plus people with no name recognition

Dancing with the Stars 12 announced its cast last night during another fake press conference, and it’s far less star-heavy than last season’s relatively impressive cast; there are also only 11 compared to 12 last season.

The cast members with name recognition are Kirstie Alley, Ralph Macchio, Romeo, Sugar Ray Leonard, Chris Jericho, Wendy Williams, and Kendra Wilkinson.

And the people I’ve never heard of are Mike Catherwood (an LA radio DJ who co-hosts Loveline and is on a morning show as “Psycho Mike”), Chelsea Kane (whose top billing is that she “stars in the web series ‘The Homes’ on Lockerz.com”), Petra Nemcova (a model), and Hines Ward (a football player for the Steelers, who Steelers and/or football fans are probably horrified that I’ve included in this second list).

In perhaps the best news, Christine O’Donnell rejected the show’s invitation.

The show returns March 21.
