Trainer Jillian Michaels is leaving The Biggest Loser to have a kid, two decisions she says were inspired by her time on her NBC spin-off Losing it with Jillian, Her replacement has been hired and will appear on the 11th season with Jillian, which will be her last. Jillian previously quit the show over its editing and fake drama; that was after the second season, and she returned for the fourth.
Jillian revealed this news on Twitter, where she wrote, “I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work.” Jillian also wrote, “Shooting Losing It also had big impact on me. Living with kids I saw first hand what I was missing.”
In May, Jillian, who previously revealed she’s bisexual, said in an interview with MomLogic that “I learned very early on that I have endometriosis and polycystic ovaries. I was always told that fertility would/could be a problem for me. … I don’t believe in using synthetic hormones. In order to get pregnant, I know it would require surgery. For me, it becomes a sort of ‘I can’t handle doing that.’ I’ve always just accepted that this is my thing, and this must mean I was meant to adopt, and that’s OK. But who knows — there might be advances in science for women with endometriosis, so I’ll never say never. But, for now, I plan to adopt.”
