Big Brother 12 live blog and reality blurred’s 10th anniversary Q&A

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, it’s time for another live blog, and this one is a two-parter: First, since reality blurred is roughly 9 years, 364 days old today, I present my first-ever Q&A. Since questions have come up in the middle of live blogs in the past, I thought we’d just do a half-hour of questions and, if I feel like it, answers. Ask me whatever you want: about reality TV, the site, et cetera.

Then, at 8, we’ll tune in together and watch the first episode of Big Brother 12 to find out what cheesy lines the producers had the contestants say to introduce themselves, and to find out who we love and who we hope never reproduces. (If you’d like to see what the deal with a live blog is, here’s the American Idol finale live blog.)

Get a reminder e.mail in the box below, and I’ll see you at 7:30 ET (4:30 PT).

The Sing-Off loses its star

Ben Folds

NBC's super-fun December a capella singing competition The Sing-Off is returning, but without its star judge, Ben Folds, and only as a two-hour special. Those are really depressing changes for a series that proved itself to be a super-fun show when it returned last December.

A film director talks about becoming a reality TV character

Anna Martemucci

What is it like to have your life turned into reality TV? Director Anna Martemucci, one of the two directors featured on Starz' exceptional reality series, talks about that, the competition, and her collaboration with her husband and brother-in-law.

Plus: How the show's producers tried to keep the $250,000 competition fair.
