Elton John is the latest rumored Simon Cowell replacement

Although Fox has said that Simon Cowell’s replacement won’t be named until after this season concludes, reports keep surfacing of possible candidates, and the latest is Elton John.

Depending upon which tabloid report you believe, he’s either been offered the job or has rejected it, or maybe both. The UK’s OK! magazine says he “met executives again while in New York for the Time magazine 100 gala in honour of the most ­influential people of the year,” but Access Hollywood says he “turned down a whopping $33 million offer.”
