Bret Michaels had a brain hemorrhage, is in ICU

Celebrity Apprentice 3 cast member and Rock of Love star Bret Michaels is in an intensive care unit after suffering a brain hemorrhage early this morning.

People reports that Bret, who had an emergency appendectomy last week, had “an excruciating headache late Thursday night” and “was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where doctors discovered he suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem).”

An anonymous source told the magazine, “After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation.” His representative just told People, “We will have no additional information until further testing is done.”

TMZ and Radar are both claiming exclusive credit for a comment from Donald Trump, who said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about Bret Michaels and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time. He’s a great competitor and champion and I hope he will be fine.”
