After Saturday’s open call in Houston, there are no more scheduled auditions for America’s Got Talent 4, but like last year, entries will be accepted via MySpace, and contestants chosen from those video auditions will be featured in a special episode of the show.
MySpace says that the pimply social networking site “is getting its own special episode” based upon auditions initially submitted via MySpace. After that, “producers will review submissions and selected participants will take part in an audition show dedicated solely to MySpace submissions. Contestants will compete for slots in the semi-finals and finals. All of the acts will be eligible for the $1 million grand prize,” as NBC said in a press release.
This would be a good use for home videos of your Susan Boyle or not-so-Susan Boyle talents, and perhaps a more effective way of becoming famous instead of, hypothetically, harassing your nephew to link to your sweet but extremely mockable cover of Anyone Else But You on YouTube, however remarkable it may be that your niece from another side of the family, otherwise known as evil Samara from The Ring, left a comment. But I digress.
