Hills stars Heidi and Spencer get engaged

Heidi Montag moved out of Lauren Conrad’s apartment to move in with her boyfriend Spencer Pratt at the end of the second season, and now the two are engaged.

Spencer “popped the question … Tuesday night at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara,” Us Weekly reports, noting that they “have been dating for just eight months.”

An unidentified source, whose enthusiasm sounds a lot like fake publicist enthusiasm, tells the magazine, “She said ‘yes.’ She’s over the moon!”

The ring, Us Weekly reports, was a “diamond-encrusted platinum band with a pink stone [bought] on Monday at Ice at Brentwood Gardens.” A source at the store said, “She was trying on tons of them and they looked really happy!”
