Randy Jackson may judge The X-Factor with Simon

American Idol judge Randy Jackson may soon join his friend Simon Cowell as a judge on Cowell’s UK reality series The X Factor. The show recently fired one of its judges, Louis Walsh.

Jackson “is currently discussing terms with Cowell in LA,” and he’d join “Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and a fourth celeb yet to be chosen” on the judging panel, according to The Sun. He was not Cowell’s first choice: “Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole reportedly turned down the chance to be the other judge,” the Sun says.

“I’d love to do it. I can’t wait to come to London. It will be a fantastic opportunity. I love working with Simon. We’re great friends,” Randy said.
