ABC declines comment on Fergie but says producer’s quotes were “fabricated”

ABC won’t comment on reports that Fergie, the Duchess of York, has been cast for Dancing with the Stars 3, but the network is denying the producer confirmed that casting.

An ABC spokesperson told MSNBC.com that AllHeadlineNews.com’s story contained false information, saying that “the quote attributed to Conrad Green is completely fabricated.” In the story, Green’s quotes confirmed Fergie’s participation.

MSNBC.com says the spokesperson added “that casting for the show was still in progress and no one from the program would comment on who might or might not participate in the show’s fourth season.”
