MTV polling viewers about which Road Rules cast members should return

As part of the new viewer-controlled Road Rules, MTV is asking viewers which cast members should return for the 14th season of the show.

Most, but not all, of the show’s cast members from its 13 seasons seem to be included. There’s no indication that this poll is anything but a poll, but I suspect those who will win the online poll will be the ones who never left MTV, not the ones who might actually be interesting to watch again.

Just seeing the names of the first and second season cast members–those who haven’t returned to age in front of our eyes on the Challenges like Allison, Los, Kit, Devin, and Effie–made me a little nostalgic for the old cross-country format, before the show went all silly and Survivor on us.

Ben Folds

NBC's super-fun December a capella singing competition The Sing-Off is returning, but without its star judge, Ben Folds, and only as a two-hour special. Those are really depressing changes for a series that proved itself to be a super-fun show when it returned last December.
