Anna Nicole Show star Daniel dies

Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son, Daniel Smith, has died. As a teenager, he was one of the cast members on E!’s The Anna Nicole Show, and was often embarrassed by his mother’s ridiculousness. At the time, he was 16, and “a quiet, straight-A student,” according to E!’s web site.

His “body was found Sunday morning,” according to the AP, and a spokesperson for Trimspa (apparently the AP could find no other person connected to Anna Nicole) said he was found “in his bed.”

On Anna Nicole’s web site, a statement says, “We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor. Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being.”

Last Thursday, Anna Nicole gave birth to a daughter, and the statement said Daniel went to the Bahamas “to share in the joy of his baby sister.”
