ABC cancels One Ocean View after two episodes

After broadcasting two of the show’s six episodes, ABC has cancelled One Ocean View, the docusoap that followed people spending time earlier this summer on Fire Island.

The show debuted to low ratings, it dropped to what The Futon Critic describes as “A staggeringly low 2.82 million viewers.” That’s “down 21.88% from its premiere (3.61 million) the week prior.”

As The Futon Critic notes, this marks the fifth reality series that ABC has cancelled this summer. Perhaps whoever’s greenlighting all these shows needs to be cancelled from ABC’s payroll, especially if they’re the one responsible for the return of The Bachelor this fall.
