Donald Trump, RJ Cutler team up for reality show version of Monopoly

Veteran reality TV show producer RJ Cutler is teaming up with Apprentice star Donald Trump to produce a reality TV version of Monopoly.

There was “intense interest from several producers” in creating a reality TV version of the game, but Monopoly’s parent company Hasbro decided upon Cutler and Trump, according to Variety. Cutler has produced shows such as American Candidate and Black. White.. The two will pitch the show to all four networks next week.

Variety notes that it’s “not yet clear” whether or not Trump will be an on-camera presence, and basically guesses that the show “will involve a game element in which contestants try to gather and improve properties in order to increase their ultimate net worth.”

Whatever the show’s format ends up looking like, I get to be the ship.
