Lisa Tucker leaves Idol and is joined in a shocking! bottom three by Ace and Katharine

Only one underage contestant remains on American Idol 5, as 16-year-old Lisa Tucker was eliminated last night. Lisa was joined in the bottom three not by knuckle-dragger Bucky “How the fuck did he get this far?” Covington, but by former front-runner Ace Young and frequent judge-favorite Katharine McPhee.

Ace Young was the first to return to the safety of the couches, while Katharine McPhee was saved by some divine intervention. “Whatever God’s plan for me — that’s all I have in my mind right now,” Katherine said as the God-friendly audience cheered wildly and then Ryan said that Lisa was going home.

The craptastic performances on Tuesday “didn’t inspire a large number of votes, because Ryan Seacrest didn’t announce the total at the beginning of the show as he usually does,” Craig Berman points out.
