CBS says Van Halen’s participation in Rock Star 2 “is a rumor, we deny it”

And it’s happening yet again. CBS is now firmly denying recent reports that the group is participating in the second season of the show. A spokesperson told Billboard, “All it is is a rumor, we deny it. We don’t even have [an act] firmly established yet, though, hopefully we will shortly.”

Adding to the crediblity of TMZ’s report on Monday, David Lee Roth said yesterday on his radio show, “They really are gonna do it, I think. It’s the ‘Rock Star’ open call schedule. They just handed me the schedule… they won’t say who it’s for, but I think it’s for Van Halen.”

However, that’s kind of funny, since whoever “they” are probably just printed the schedule off the Internet, as the show has been casting for a while now.

Eaten Alive

Discovery Channel’s happy family holiday special Eaten Alive aired Sunday, rewarding viewers for their two full hours of viewing by ensuring that they spent quality time in the company of others instead of wasting that time doing something else that might not have been as satisfying, such as buying things that have labels which accurately reflect their contents.
