Simon Cowell teams with NBC for Las Vegas performer search

Simon Cowell will produce yet another Idol knock-off show, bringing his total of new audience-voting talent shows to three. He’s also planning American Inventor for ABC and Duets for FOX.)

The new series will air this summer on NBC and will allow viewers to “vote on which amateur performer is ready to be showcased in Sin City,” Variety reports. The show “will encompass a wide variety of performers — dancers, singers, standup comics, novelty acts — who will be judged by a panel of celebs.” It does not yet have a name, but is based upon a UK show called Got Talent.

“This time we’re looking for everything. Personally, I hope to find the next Siegfried and Roy,” Simon said.
