The Writers Guild has enlisted Jerri Manthey’s help in their war against product placement.
Three separate clips are now online, and they’re supposed to be outtakes from Jerri’s Survivor Australia interviews. To the WGA’s credit, they look particularly real as they parody producers’ insistence upon including references to sponsors in footage. Producers interviewing Jerri her products and repeatedly ask her to mention sponsors’ names as she begs for water or talks about her experience.
The clips are hysterically funny–particularly the third, which is titled “Creature”–even though, ultimately, Jerri’s better at being genuinely bitchy than acting bitchy.
