CBS planning show set at New York prep school

CBS is following in its Viacom cousin’s footsteps with a Laguna Beach-style show that will be set at a New York prep school.

New York magazine’s Intelligencer reports that the “show will be a ‘docu-soap’ in the tradition of MTV’s Laguna Beach and is about ‘the trials and tribulations of a senior class at a New York City prep school,’ according to a CBS insider.” York Prep was selected as the location after “the producers approached and were turned down by a number of prestigious city schools before York finally took the bait.”

Producers are currently casting; there’s no premiere date set yet.
