One thousand homes hosting Biggest Loser 2 house parties on Sunday

The Biggest Loser 2 debuts Tuesday, but on Sunday, a thousand houses will show the first episode to guests at special NBC-organized house parties. So far, 6,449 people are registered to attend the parties.

If you can’t attend, don’t be too jealous: the episode they’ll be watching is not complete, so they’ll have to tune in with the rest of us on Tuesday. According to a press release sent by the company organizing the event, “NBC will furnish a customized copy of the first episode in advance — one that does not compromise the ending elimination — but will compensate with a special opening and closing message by Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper.”

But there will be a lot of free stuff, which makes sense for an event that’s essentially just a form of advertising. Hosts will receive stuff such “as a show-branded yoga mat, towel and dry erase board, a jump rope and a set of yoga straps. Attendees will receive copies of Prevention, Men’s Health and Women’s Health magazines plus trial memberships for 24 Hour Fitness gyms (where applicable).”

The biggest news, though, is that “trainers Bob and Jillian and former contestants will make surprise appearances at some of the parties in the Los Angeles area.”
