Martha’s daughter, chairman of the board will serve as her advisors

Yes, yes: By now the whole world knows that Martha Stewart’s daughter Alexis Stewart will fill the Carolyn role on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart. Never has nepotism been such news.

Filling the role of crotchety old white guy will be Charles Koppelman, who’s Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s chairman of the board.

Of her “eyes and ears” (read: people who actually have to deal with the contestants on a regular basis), Martha says, “No one knows me better than Alexis and she understands my way of conducting business and dealing with people. Charles brings the expertise of a legendary entrepreneur to the conference room each week.”

The show kicks off a month from tonight, on Sept. 21.
