Video leads to arrest, indictment of Austin attacker

The man who allegedly broke Danny Jamieson’s face has been arrested and indicted. Video footage of the fight led to the arrest of Ryan Richard Getman. He “was arrested after still pictures were extracted from the video MTV had of the fight,” and “was indicted for two counts of aggravated assault in June,” according to The Daily Texan.

In court, an Austin cop said that Danny will suffer permanently as a result of the fight. The paper reports that Officer Jerry Sullivan said, “When [he] closes his right eye, the left eye’s vision is blurry. It is not as good as it used to be.”
