Carrie’s single debuts at number one

Carrie Underwood’s single Inside Your Heaven has debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Pop 100.

Billboard notes that “Underwood is only the third artist to bow in the top slot since chart policy changed in 1998 to allow airplay-only tracks on the Hot 100, a move that made it much harder for any title to debut at No. 1.” The other two artists were Clay Aiken and Fantasia, both of Idol fame. Kelly Clarkson currently has two songs on the Hot 100, and is leading the AC charts.
