Before being fired and leaving The Apprentice 3, Angie tried to save herself by blaming teammate Chris’ absence. Chris was delayed at Best Buy, where he’d left the team’s credit card the night before, apparently after an employee failed to give it back to him. We saw Chris waiting around for a long period of time as Best Buy employees searched for the card. (Although even sunshine and puppies cause Chris to get angry, this definitely irritated him: “I hope they find the credit card so I don’t have to find an aluminum bat and break someone’s kneecaps.”) From failing to return the credit card to being unable to find it, Best Buy didn’t exactly come off well. But reality blurred has learned from a source close to the Best Buy store’s manager that what we saw wasn’t exactly what happened. The source writes:

It does appear that the cashier at Best Buy neglected to return the credit card. Actually, Chris left the credit card unattended on a table in a conference room at the store. … [A] manager at the store, was in possession of the card (for safe-keeping), but was out of the store when Chris returned (the next day). When he came back into the store, the card was returned. The editing of the show makes Best Buy look bad, but in reality (as opposed to reality tv), this was entirely Chris’s screw-up.
