A designer and a merchandiser claim that they came up with the idea for Bravo’s Project Runway. According to Page Six, “Designer Cynthia Rodriguez and fashion merchandiser Elizabeth Zwiebach say the hit about competing fashion designers is a copy of their proposed show ‘American Runway.’” A Miramax Television rep says, “Since we pitched the series idea prior to March 2003, we are confident this claim has no merit.”
