Real World renewed for five more years.
The Real World will be around for at least five more seasons, including the currently-taping 16th season in Austin. That’s “the largest series deal in its history,” Mediaweek reports, and will eventually bring its total to 20. Two more seasons of the Challenge, which MTV’s Brian Graden called “an instant hit,” have been ordered, allowing past cast members to postpone entering the real work force. As reality blurred reported yesterday, Road Rules is apparently dead in the water: MTV’s announcements included no info about that series, although a spokesperson told the New York Post simply that “[n]o decision has been made.”
