Mark Burnett’s Martha Stewart show on NBC may be an Apprentice spin-off.
The Apprentice-like series that Mark Burnett is creating with Martha Stewart might actually be The Apprentice. “Some NBC executives are exploring the possibility of launching a second edition of “The Apprentice” with Martha Stewart in the driver’s seat,” according to the New York Post. Donald Trump likes the idea of a spin-off but says it’s not true: “I’m certainly open to it. Martha is a friend of mine and I think it’s wonderful if she would want to do that, but that’s not what NBC has in mind.” Mark Burnett and NBC wouldn’t comment.
+ update: Trump denies the rumors, and says “it’s not gonna be so easy to replace me.”
