Reality TV collided with reality last week in a New York courtroom. John Gotti’s brother Peter “is on trial in U.S. District Court in Manhattan charged with helping run the crime family after his brother was convicted and imprisoned for life in the 1990s,” Newsday reports. And his connection to A&E reality series about his sister-in-law came up when a potential juror told the judge that she watches Growing Up Gotti. The woman said she was familiar with the defendant because, “I heard Victoria say, ‘I’m going to call your Uncle Peter,’ when she was threatening her kids.”
