Real World Philly cast has two gay men.
The next season of The Real World has something in common with the next season of Survivor: both shows have cast two gay people. While Survivor Vanuatu features two lesbians, The Real World Philadelphia has two gay men. This isn’t new for the show; The Real World Chicago included a gay man and a lesbian among its cast members. The Philadelphia season includes Willie, “a gay Puerto Rican American” who has a straight twin and “religious parents [who] don’t accept his lifestyle which caused Willie to leave home when he was only 15.” Who’s the other gay man? As The New York Post reports, that person is “as yet unidentified” because he “tackles coming out of the closet on the show.” The other men are Karamo, Landon, and MJ. The Post also points out that the “cast is also older and more mature than crews in the past. All of them are over 21 — five who are over the age of 23.”
