Burnett’s Casino will include theme song singer as a character on the series.
AdAge previously reported that Mark Burnett’s new series The Casino would have “no product placement or sponsorship deals.” Of course, that’s sort of a joke since the show focuses on the Golden Nugget casino in Las Vegas. And now, Burnett says that a central character on the series will be jazz singer Matt Dusk. Conveniently, the hot-looking 24-year-old has a new album coming out–and that album’s title track is the show’s theme song. According to MSNBC, “a former Universal Music Group executive” who works for Burnett “was aware of Dusk and suggested him for the show”; producers auditioned him “and agreed to add him to the plot.”
