sweeps success Top Model is “a monster,” helps UPN beat The WB.
One of the biggest successes during February sweeps was UPN’s America’s Next Top Model 2, which reached “an all-time high of 7.6 million [viewers] last week and taking down WWE Smackdown! as the netlet’s signature show,” E! Online reports. Although other reality and scripted shows easily beat those ratings, for UPN, they’re phenomenal. CBS’ Leslie Moonves, who also oversees UPN, said, “Top Models has turned into a monster.” (Psst: Someone in PR tell him it’s singular: model.) E! says Top Model “should help UPN edge the WB in the sweeps among total viewers.”
