Big Fat’s Randi resigns as teacher.
Randi Coy resigned as a Catholic elementary school teacher yesterday. The star of My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance didn’t have much of a choice if she wanted to keep promoting the series, as her principal asked her to choose between that and teaching. So, she resigned. A Phoenix Diocese spokesperson says there are no hard feelings: “It’s simply a contractual decision. You can’t serve two masters, and as a first-grade teacher, she needs to be there every day. It was a hard decision to make. We certainly wish her well.” Randi says that “yes, definitely, I’d like to go back to teaching. I’m just going to see what happens.” In other words, she’s praying this humiliation will lead to something bigger, or she won the cash and is investing the $250,000 well.
