Ty will host ABC’s Extreme Makeover.
A new edition of ABC’s Extreme Makeover tomorrow night will be hosted by Trading Spaces carpenter Ty Pennington. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which debuts at 10 p.m. ET Wednesday, is sort of like Trading Spaces on acid. It involves “a team of designers, 100 workmen and even the neighbors, [who] have just seven days to completely renovate an entire house–every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping.” Even better, the designers live together in a bus for added drama. Ty is humble about his new gig: “I’m like McGyver. I can make junk look fantastic. We had a bigger budget on this one, but by the time you started construction, there wasn’t much left.”
