actor says Pop Idol contestants are “mentally ill”; fan stalks finalist.
The Office actor Ricky Gervais says that Pop Idol 2 contestants “are very probably bordering on the mentally ill,” he tells Jack magazine. I suppose it does scare me slightly, but it’s also very flattering. I’m honoured that somebody thinks I’m worth it.” You decide who’s the disturbed one in that relationship.
