At one Wal-Mart appearance, Canadian Idol winner Ryan Malcolm sold 3,200 copies of his single “Something More.” As the Ottawa Sun reports, “Compare that to the first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, who unloaded 1,940 copies of her single, A Moment Like This on its first day of release.” His record will be released Dec. 9, and he’ll be appearing on World Idol then, too, along with other winners from around the globe.
