“Randy Jackson has had gastric bypass surgery in an attempt to lose weight,” The New York Post reports. The American Idol judge has the surgery last week, and “said he was concerned about his weight and had lost 20 pounds by eating smaller portions and working out several.” He’ll return for American Idol 3 early next year, and presumably take part in the audition process, which begins next month.
