Cirque’s Varekai debuts tonight.
The production that was chronicled from casting to completion on Bravo’s Cirque du Soleil: Fire Within has its network TV debut tonight at 8 ET. The entire season of Fire Within reairs before the debut, starting at 1:30 p.m. The show was filmed during “five different run-throughs, including one without a seated audience,” The Times-Picayune reports. The audience-free shoot “allowed the crew to stop action to get shots that wouldn’t be possible otherwise, including camera angles from various airborne apparatus and even from the perspective of different performers in mid-act.”
