American Idol 2‘s winner and runner-up go head to head in CD sales today, as their debut singles are released. Clay Aiken’s This Is The Night/On The Wings Of Love remains at the top of Amazon’s list of best-selling CDs, with winner Ruben Studdard’s Flying Without Wings/Superstar still far behind at number nine (as of midnight). Also out today is American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini’s self-titled debut album. It features his version of “Unchained Melody” and a duet with “Timeless” with Kelly Clarkson, and currently ranks at number 73, with Kelly’s record still in the top 25.
